Gary Roberts, KF7VQO, now a Silent Key (SK)

Gary L Robert's, 77, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on July 13, 2022, with his wife of 51 years, Sheri (KF7VQP), by his side, after bravely battling cancer for over a year.

Gary was a longtime member of the Flathead Valley Amateur Radio club and served as one of the club's trustees until a change in his health made it necessary for him to resign from that role. He also was very active in ARES and was our EC for many years.

Gary's love for Amateur Radio and all of those involved in the ham community was obvious, as he and Sheri often referred to them as family.

QRP was one of Gary's passions as an amateur radio operator and he made contacts all over the world on only 5 watts. He also enjoyed experimenting with portable end-fed wire antennas and even offered them for sale to other hams.

Elmering new hams was also very important to Gary, which he not only deeply enjoyed but was also quite good at.

Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
