TECHNICIAN CLASS AND TESTING RESULTS
As a result of the Technician class on November 7 & 14 and testing on November 14, we now have 10 new Technicians, 2 new Generals (they passed both the Tech. and General tests) and two hams that upgraded to Extra class.

NEXT TESTING SESSION FOR AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE OR UPGRADE
The next testing session for getting an Amateur Radio License or Upgrade will be Tuesday, January 19, 2015 at the SAR building on Three Mile Drive in Kalispell. The testing session will be at 6:00 pm.
You will need to bring a picture ID, $14.00 AND if you are upgrading you will also need to bring a signed copy of your current license.
To obtain a copy of your license:
1. Go to http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp
2. Search for your call sign.
3. Click on your call sign
4. Click on the ADMIN tab
5. Click on "Authorization -- Licensee"
6. Your reference copy license will open in a PDF file for printing or saving.

Ham radio is the best emergency and safety network available and will be used locally as well as world wide in the event of any disasters, natural or man made.
Study books will be available at the first class.
You will need to register for the class to get a book by calling Don Johnson at 406 889 5886
The Technician license does not require Morse code, and the test is just 35 questions multiple choice. You can get 9 questions wrong and still pass, and during the study you will be given all the answers up front. You can also study on line at www.hamtestonline.com
The license is free for 10 years, then renew on line for another 10 years. We will have equipment on display and there will be demonstrations of various equipment. Eureka Repeater Group sponsoring the class has many local repeaters covering all of Lincoln County and into Flathead county, and much more.
Be prepared to increase your safety by having communications available in any emergency situation at any time day or night with these systems.
